Counselling for adults in Canterbury

Counsellor in Canterbury - a woman with blue eyes and long hair smiling warmly from cosy chair

I’m Marielle

At the heart of my practice is the belief that feeling truly heard and accepted can be deeply healing.

I know that reaching out for support can leave people feeling vulnerable, which is why I place great importance on creating a welcoming, inclusive and non-judgemental environment.

How Counselling Works

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I adapt the way I work to meet your particular needs, drawing on different counselling modalities and therapeutic perspectives.

I feel privileged to accompany people as they learn more about themselves, work through difficult experiences, and move towards greater self-acceptance and wellbeing.

I have a special interest in neurodivergence, particularly ADHD and autism. Through both my work with clients and my own life experience, I have developed a deep appreciation of the challenges that can come from experiencing the world differently.

Further Experience

My own personal development has also been supported by studies in yoga and Transcendental Meditation, both of which have deepened my understanding of emotional wellbeing, self-awareness and personal growth.

Alongside my private practice counselling in Canterbury, I also work with Self Horizons, a therapeutic service based in Hythe, Kent, providing accessible counselling within the local community.

I'm also a mum of three, and my experiences both personally and professionally have shaped the way I work with people.
