Counselling in Canterbury
Marielle Descombes
Hello and Welcome
I'm Marielle, a therapeutic counsellor based in Canterbury.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. Reaching out for support takes courage, especially when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to put into words.
I offer warm, supportive counselling to adults of all ages and backgrounds; a space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of whatever brings you here.
I believe that feeling understood and accepted is an important part of the therapeutic process.
I am mindful of creating a warm, inclusive and welcoming space, where you feel comfortable and understood from the very beginning, safe to explore the challenges you are facing, openly and honestly.
I am passionate about mental health and feel privileged to support people as they gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships and their experiences. Together, we will build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, establishing clear goals for our work from the outset.
Whether you come with a specific issue or a sense that something isn't quite right, counselling can offer a space to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
I have worked with people experiencing a wide range of challenges and adapt my approach to suit each individual, including working with neurodivergent clients with ADHD and autism.
I work from comfortable therapy rooms in central Canterbury, and offer a free introductory call to help us decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
You don't have to figure everything out on your own. Get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
